Remedies for Hair Loss in Men and Women

You can easily stop balding quickly just by utilizing a few natural steps. These steps aren’t hard to do and they are very cost-effective. Take for instance the use of scalp massage and essential oils.

Aromatherapy oils are believed to stimulate hair growth. By combining several oils together and massaging into the scalp each night for 5 minutes has been shown to develop new hair growth. Mix together 3 drops each of the following essential oils: cedarwood, rosemary, thyme, and lavender, along with 1/8 cup of jojoba oil and 1/8 cup of grapeseed oil. Make sure you avoid your eyes and do not take internally.

Your strands are made primarily from protein, and they need to be fed protein in order to stay strong and healthy. This is why raw eggs are a good natural hair regrowth treatment. Give yourself a good shampoo and then apply the egg onto your damp strands. Put a plastic cap onto your head and leave it on for one hour. The egg will nourish your strands. The heat generated from your head will allow the protein to penetrate your strands.

Ayurvedic herbs such as amalaki (Indian gooseberry), Brhingraja (Eclipta alba) and Brahmi are known for their hair nourishing and growing properties. You can get powdered extracts in the market (from some Ayurvedic shop). Mix all of them and add it to hair washing water. Then rinse the hair with normal water. Practice this for a couple of months to see good results.

Green tea (Camellia sinesis): This tea has been credited with providing a wide variety of health benefits, many of which have yet to be validated by scientific studies (e.g. its potential for treating male pattern baldness). It is thought that catechins found in green tea may inhibit the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase that converts testosterone into DHT.

Diets high in silica, which can be found in whole foods such as the outer skins of potatoes, sprouts, peppers, and cucumbers, will strengthen the hair. Meats and other foods high in iron will support hair health and growth.

Coconut milk is found to have good nourishing effects on the hair and hence is recommended as natural hair loss remedy. Applying this is quite easy –take a half cup of coconut milk and massage it gently onto the scalp. Leave it for about half an hour and then rinse with lukewarm water. You can use herbal shampoo to wash the hair.
