Adjustable Reading and Writing Slant Boards
Many people do not realize the negative effects that poor posture can have on their body, as well as the stress it adds to their heart rate and blood pressure. Children and adults spend many hours hunched over a desk, becoming exposed to potential long-term harm to their backs, necks, shoulders, and wrists.
Unfortunately, the hours spent at a desk cannot normally be altered, since reading, writing and studying are all required throughout school. The solution to all of these issues comes in the form of adjustable reading and writing slant boards. These boards are ergonomically designed to reduce eye fatigue, and they allow you to naturally sit up straight and practice good posture. These 22-degree angled boards come in the form of a slanted reading and writing board, dry erase board, as well as a wipe board that’s magnetic, and they benefit many areas of the body.
Eyes: When books are laid down on a horizontal surface, your eyes are forced to refocus as they move down the page. With the slant boards, the entire page is put into focus at once, which reduces eye fatigue and lessens the chances of vision deterioration.
Neck: The natural way to hold your neck is relatively straight up; when looking down while writing and reading, you are creating bad habits for your neck muscles. You can reduce the strain and soreness of your muscles with use of an angled surface.
Back: The same goes for your back. The natural curve of your back is a very slight angle. By hunching over, your upper, middle, and lower back muscles are strained. This can create many problems later in life, as well as habits of poor posture forever.
Wrists: This is an issue for those who write or type a lot. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a very real scenario and can require invasive surgery to correct. With a slanted board, your hands and wrists can lay more naturally on the keyboard or writing surface, reducing your chances of developing wrist and joint problems.
Stress: All of these are different forms of stress on various body parts. These slant boards have also be known to lower blood pressure, and reduce your heart rate, simply because they allow your muscles to relax at a much more natural angle and position.
